Weather Blanket values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when using Weather Blanket.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect account details (such as email address), usage and analytics information (screen views, in-app events, an app instance identifier), approximate location details you provide for weather functionality and approximate location derived from your IP address, subscription status, and device/browser information needed to operate and improve Weather Blanket.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide app features, personalize your experience, maintain security, communicate important updates, and analyze performance.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how Weather Blanket is used. It collects the screens you view, in-app events (such as feature usage and purchases), a randomly generated app instance identifier, device type and operating system version, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This data is not linked to your account. Purchase events handled by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, are also reported to Google Analytics using the same app instance identifier so we can measure subscription performance. Our website uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits and clicks on app store links. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. Advertising

Weather Blanket may display ads using Google AdMob in the mobile apps and Google AdSense on the web. Google and its partners may use cookies, the advertising identifier, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. On iOS we ask for permission before using the advertising identifier, and you can change this under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings. You can learn more or opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. We also share app events — such as installing or opening the app — with Meta Platforms so we can measure how well our advertising works; this may include a device advertising identifier. We do not share these events for users in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. See the Meta Privacy Policy for how Meta handles this data.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that support app functionality (Firebase for hosting, authentication and analytics; RevenueCat for subscriptions; Google AdMob and AdSense for ads; Meta for advertising measurement) and when required by law.

6. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or to meet legal requirements.

7. Your Choices

You can manage account data in the app, sign out, and request account deletion where available. You can also control cookie and ad personalization preferences through your browser and Google settings. In the mobile apps, where a consent choice was collected, Settings → Ad privacy settings reopens the consent form so you can change that choice at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Weather Blanket is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
